Chilling out in

After more than 2 years, I revisited Julep Lounge for the second time earlier tonight with James. Apparently they no longer have a full kitchen, hence gone is their wonderful dégustation menu. Yet it was still as lovely a place to chill as ever and they're cocktails, something which they're renowned for, are still as yummy.

I had a Champagne Julep...

... a concoction of fresh mint with sugar, sparkling wine, vodka and Chambord. I wanted something similar to a Mojito and it was a good alternative. James on the other hand, wanted something sour so I ordered Twisted Sister, also a Julep invention, for him. Made from Amaretto, orange blossom water, mandarins, fresh lemon juice and sugar, it was indeed fairly sour but James apparently liked it.

Earlier I brought James to Tilleys as he wanted somewhere cosy. It too, was still as charming. Man... The good 'ol times with Rus, Gil, Husien and... hmmm... did Amelia go there with us too?

Well, gotta visit these places more often! Oh did I mention that cocktails are $10 all day on Wednesdays at Julep Lounge?
