プリクラいきましょうか?

When I first heard the word, "プリクラ", I had absolutely no idea what it is. "HUH?! WTF are you talking about?" was my initial reply.

Then... I realized... It's "Neo-Fucking-Prints" or what is known as "大头贴" in Taiwan.

Last Sunday, I bump into some 1st year students at 西大寺駅. It was a rather embarrassing experience. You see, I was wearing just my usual tee, jeans and zip-hoodie, ready to go down town to do some window shopping... Then the entire group of them gasp, "先生 (sen sei)!" It wasn't exactly loud but was it did attract attention from half the people at the station. (It's a fucking small station you see...) It'd be cool if it was Singapore but in the oppressive Japan, it's a lil' embarrassing.

Anyway, I acted cool and hung out with them, all the way to 岡山. There, we took my first authentic プリクラ. Authentic because it's my first プリクラ with Japanese people in it. Ha...

Anyway, here it is, one of our プリクラ shots:

is it just me, or do 'authentic' プリクラ make ppl look younger than they really are? if so, i'd love to strike a pose too. :)
