Was invited by my very good,
So a little bit on the exhibition...
Morality and vanity are the two keywords that forms the foundation of this installation project. (If I'm not wrong) Shing's intentions is to exhibit this oxymoronic relationship between morality and vanity, very much like how Singaporeans often say, "要美不要命" (Ai Swee Mai Mia). Hence Shing designed an art-piece (which should be kept a secret so I shall not say it here), installed in a photo booth for viewers "to put on their last adornment inside a photo booth and contemplate the transience of life" (lifted from the Substation website cause I'm too lazy). For a token fee of $6 (of which the proceed goes to charity) viewers would also be able to take a photo (it's a photo booth, hello?!) and bring home their contribution and reflection on the theme and artwork. Oh, you're supposed to view some shorts first but I skipped that. I did take photos of the pretty wall the projection was casted upon.

The rest of the night (and early morning) was spent at MOS with 5 extremely energetic girls from UNC. It's funny how Alan and I had to be like guides as we give them a tour of MOS, it's like as if we really worked for MOS liddat. Luckily I have some background knowledge of the place (see kids, it helps to read more!). But I think the girls had a good time lah. I's damn tired lah. I think age is really catching up on me. Either that, or I need to club more. I doubt it's the latter.
Anyway, kudos to Alan for being an extremely good brother and staying put with me, not just assisting me to keep the girls entertained but buying drinks for them as well. Oh ya, and sending me home too. I think I'd take back what I said earlier in this entry about him. Hahaha...
