Cloverfield = Pukes

[music]

Caught Cloverfield yesterday and I'm not sure if it's because I wasn't exactly in my best form but it absolutely made me felt like puking. I don't exactly understand what kind of message I should take away from the film and I really preferred it if it's not done in the "Blair Witch" style. Though I must say, seeing a monster attacking NYC thorough the eyes of a victim is no doubt an interesting take on the overly-done alien-attacks-city storyline. Plus Odette Yustman or "Beth" as she's known in the film is so hot so that's some brownie points for it. And guess what? She's a '85 too!

Thursday was a crazy night man. Zhengqi, Yongmin and myself went to have some drinks at this bar which I can't spell but it's beside Elaine's. We met some really nice (and crazy) bunch of guys from Beta, one of 'em was from my Global Issues recitation class. They were nice enough to buy us drinks and introduced us to the rest of their crew, not to mention a few really, really hot chicks. I ended the night at (gosh!) 06:30am and without a doubt, had to skip my Sea Power class (again!). But I must say, it was a really, really fun and wild night.

Lastly, WK left today and I'm really glad that he gets to return to Singapore for CNY. I have no idea what's my CNY's going to be like but I hope it involves some alcohol. =) Oh oh oh, and this week in our History of Intelligence Operations class, our prof showed us this book, The Art of War in Europe. It was published by the US Army and was the actual book that was presented in
congress. The publishing date of the book, fucking 1861! How cool is that. It's really detailed with lots of illustrations, charts and explanations. Damn cool. Like that how not to enjoy studying here?
