So aft 25 hrs of travelling, I'm finally here. For some reason, I was extremely hungry throughout the journey. On top of the in-flight meals, I had 水饺面 during my transit at Hong Kong. And i'm so proud of myself. I managed to strike up a canto conversation with the immigration auntie who was checking my bag. I can even ask and understood directions at the airport. I how zai?
In Chicago, I had my first meal in the land of stars and stripes. Guess what issit?

Tah Dah!!!
My favourite! How else authentic can it get? The burger didn't feel very big though.
And so after a quick dinner with Erik (my only UNC friend), and a short intro to the uni, I was back at my ulu motel and I totally crashed. The day after, it was a quick trip down to UNC to settle some admin stuff. I tell you, UNC is DAMN nice lah. It's like way nicer than ANU. Even the old buildings are nice. ANU's old buildings are just dilapidated. See for yourself...
Sigh I miss Singapore already. Weird right? Ernest is the pack, fly and never look back kind. Well I had a jolly good reason to be and I'm very happy. My last 2 weeks in Singapore had been very... err... like what Iris said, "eventful". A pleasant surprise at Zouk, a lunch delivered, a care package received and many nights by the pool (with millions of fags in between)... What can I say? "Jac darl, ここから、いつまでも、ほんとにありがと!" Right. Shan't get all emo on my first entry here.
It's 7:18am now. I've been awake since 3. "Should I eat first den jog or jog first den eat?" Decisions decisions decisions... But it's really nice here. The feelings completely different from Canberra.
Ok. I've decided. Since I skipped dinner, it's breakfast first! Today is open bank account and get prepaid card day!
