I believe I can speak for her as well that falling in love with each other had been the most unexpected thing for us. Also, having come from two very different backgrounds meant that we have a lot of things to learn about each other, which of course, requires tremendous amount of mutual understanding. Just last evening we were discussing about how different friends and networks are formed in Singapore and Korea, which no doubt formed the foundation and framework of our attitudes and decisions today. In doing that, we learnt so much from each other and we were able to see things from "the other person's perspective". There were no arguments, no debates, just a standard discussion. Seriously, how cool is that?!
So this has led us to believe that we really clicked very well. Look, she hates cucumbers (it's probably the only
I'm leaving for Japan in 5 days (including today) and because my bloody 2.5G iPhone doesn't work in Japan, I think I'm going to die from the lack of contact from her. My Japan trip will be our first mini-test before she returns to Korea for a month and before we part for another 4 months when I come back for Hons (if I get it). It's going to be emotionally tough I think but I have faith that we'd pull though fine and emerge EVEN stronger than before.
So anyway, happy 2nd anniversary Hyeyoung. Thank you for everything and more importantly, for the wonderful surprise this morning.
