Goodbye... Dear "N".

Bumped into a friend recently. She's someone whom I'd know for the past 5 years and someone whom I had a small crush on before. I lost her number when my 02 crashed in the States so needless to say, I was extremely happy to bump into her that day. We sat down and chatted for a while. Found out that in the interim that I'm not in town, she got herself happily attached to a boy who's 11 years her junior. (Mind you, my dear friend's 31 and her dear boyfriend is like only serving NS now.) And the thing is, despite the small crush, she's always been a Jie Jie to me. Whenever I'm back in town for holidays, we would meet and besides catching up, she'd often offer advises to me. For some reason, I feel that we can really connect. Unfortunately, I think we really come from 2 different worlds. In any case, regardless how I feel unsecure with her being with such a young boy, she really seem blissful. And she's not a stupid girl so I'm sure she has thought things through.

Our random meeting lasted for roughly 1.5 hours, resulted in me sleeping at 5 am that night and emo-ing for the next few days. It's not just reminiscing about the past but also the thought that I'd probably never see her again (because apparently they are getting married). I think I've just lost a friend.

But still, I will pray for the best for her. She's really nice and deserves only the best. Hopefully he won't break her heart like her previous boyfriend and that he'd stay true to her heart. All the best "N"!
