[Linkin Park - Shadow Of The Day]
As much as I love wearing suits, I absolutely HATE wearing them in sunny Singapore, especially on a fucking hot day like today.
Today's volunteering at the 7th Workshop on Human Rights Mechanism for ASEAN was truly an eye-opener. Not only did I get to see Professor Tommy Koh (whom I admire a lot for his diplomatic contributions to Singapore and his work on UNCLOS), I had the rare opportunity to sit in and listen to a closed-door event and see for real, how an ASEAN Track II/III discussion is being conducted. Although I never sat through any single discussion in its entirety, I learnt that Dr Surin, current Secretary-General of ASEAN is a very intellectual speaker though a bit long-winded at times. I also learnt that Dr Vitit is extremely nice and sincere (after doing wine-shopping with him). No wonder Elaine adores him so much.
As far as I'm concerned, SIIA's work is definitely more interesting than MHA's. At least, thus far...
