Okay. I give up. I can't remember where on earth we went for drinks on our first night. Perhaps we didn't. I just simply can't recall. So anyway, let's see what we did subsequently.
Day 2's lunch was excellent. It's this uber sleek Thai restaurant called Kittichai on Thompson Street (5 minutes away from Spring Street station).
I bought Anna a chocolate bunny for her birthday after lunch before meeting her very briefly (for like 5 minutes). James was there too. Thereafter, Zhengqi and I rushed down to United Nations hoping to catch the last guided tour. You see, we have an excellent habit of sleeping in so by the time we'd finish our lunch, it was around mid-afternoon and the last guided tour for UN was at 4:30pm. Unfortunately, by the time we got to UN, all the flags were already lowered. Meaning, the UN was CLOSED! :(
Dishearten, we made a point that we HAVE to return the next day.
Oh wait! I think I remember what happened on the first night liao. After J.G. Melon, we took a stroll down 5th Avenue. Actually, I wanted to bring him to see Guggenhiem Museum and the Met, like just walk past lah but I hollanded. See arh, J.G.'s on 74th and I think Guggenhiem is 100 something street so as we walked down from around 74th and 5th, we saw no shit. Still, we got to walk down 5th Avenue at night and saw St Patrick's Cathedral. I originally wanted to bring him to see the New York Public Library but I think it was a bit too far a walk. By then, we probably had covered at least 25 to 30 blocks so we were quite shack. So we wanted to get a drink right? I suggested East Village and Zhengqi said okay. You know how easy-going he is... So ya, we took a train to Union Square and walked to East Village. It was a long walk and we eventually settled for BOA (Bar On the Avenue). The crowd was alright, alright as in like so-so - a group of what looked like people/friends from the advertising industry. You know, gay looking guys (not that I have anything against them) and pretty girls/models. So anyway, we (actually is me lah) ended chatting to this other group of girls. They look pretty young and 2 out of the 3 were not bad. Found out that they were actually professors in a college! How amazing is that? They were only like what? 27/28 years old? I don't really believe them but just for the fun of it, we bought their story and had some good laughs that night. The one that I like was married and the other one that kept talking to me was the only non-looker. Sians. Anyway, that's was how we ended our first night. Phew! I'm so glad I actually remembered!
Next, night of day 2...
